As most of our clients and friends know, we love photographing creative people, Comic Book Artists, Cartoonists, Illustrators, Animators, Designers, Photographers, artists of all types. For the past 25 years I have been working on a project photographing Artists in their studios, and more recently going to Conventions and setting up a Pop-up studio right in the middle of the convention floor and making portraits. Recently Sharon Sampsel and I were invited to set up our impromptu studio at Designer Con in Anaheim, CA. "DesignerCon is an annual art and design convention that smashes together all aspects of urban, underground and pop art, including collectible toys, customs, plush, designer apparel and so much more, Designer Con is an Amazing Celebration of art. The sheer amount of creatives under one roof is incredible! We were thrilled when Scott Gandell of Pop Secret Gallery invited us to set up in the Pop-Secret Gallery Space. Over a period of a couple days we made dozens of portraits of some of the most Amazing Artists and Attendees! As part of this Pop-up experience we also bring along a large printer and print and hang a pop-up gallery of the shots taken for attendees to enjoy. It is complete chaos and incredibly fun!
