Remembering Author Robert Bloch for his birthday, April 5, 1917 – September 23, 1994

Happy Monday! How are you holding up out there? I hope everyone is staying safe. Hey, just wanted to take a minute to remember Author Robert Bloch, April 5, 1917 – September 23, 1994, his birthday was earlier this month. If the name isn't familiar, you will most certainly know his work. Robert Bloch was an Author, "primarily of crime, horror, fantasy and science fiction, he is best known as the writer of "Psycho", the basis for the film of the same name by Alfred Hitchcock". -wikipedia

As the story goes "Robert Bloch wrote a fan letter to H P Lovecraft at the age of 16. Lovecraft encouraged the young boy to begin writing fiction and to submit his stories to "Weird Tales". Thus began a 60-year writing career that is one of the most distinguished in the horror and mystery field." "He is also well-known for having said, "Despite my ghoulish reputation, I really have the heart of a small boy.

I keep it in a jar on my desk." Lol!-fantastic fiction

A number of years ago, I had the chance to meet and photograph Mr. Bloch at a local book signing here in Vegas, This was another of my pop-up studio on location portraits, he could not have been nicer.

Here's that shot, hope you all have a great day, we are getting through this!
